Lots of dead as floods and Rainfall hit China

A minimum of 91 individuals have died and 111 are missing out on after days of torrential rain and floods in north-east and southern China, state media report.


More than 840,000 individuals have been evacuated from Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Guangdong provinces.


Nearly eight million people are believed to be influenced by the floods.


China’s Xinhua news firm described the floods in the north as the “worst in decades”. Constant rain struck the south in the wake of Hurricane Utor.


The storm eliminated 10 individuals as it travelled through Guangdong province last week however heavy rains followed bringing more turmoil to the region.


Meanwhile, storms battered north-eastern Liaoning from Thursday to Saturday, leaving lots of rivers flooded in the city of Fushun, Xinhua priced estimate district authorities as saying.


The rains cut off railway and roadway quality traffic and power in Fushun.


Almost 3,000 soldiers are aiding with relief efforts, reports state.
